Interested in expanding your career skills to learn how to code? Join this workshop to learn the basics of coding! These coding basics can be used in Excel, Python, or any other type of coding needed in your job or to get you started in a new career. These fundamentals of coding will provide a foundation to learn more. Coding helps with streamlining data operations as well as automating tasks to improve productivity in your job. Companies are clamoring for employees with coding skills.

In this workshop/lecture style class the following topics will be covered:

Know your environment IDEs
Variables setup, syntax, labeling, and documenting
Calculations
If Statements
For Loops
SQL Statements/Data Integration
Compile/Run
Presentations
Resources to learn more

No coding experience necessary; students should be computer literate and have a desire to learn.
