This class is for anyone who wants to learn how to draw or hone their drawing skills. It is appropriate for beginner and repeat students. In the first half of the course, we will learn drawing elements, like using lines and edges, creating texture, reducing complex forms to simple shapes, and building a form through shading. We will build on what we learn in the second part of the course to create thoughtful compositions, balancing form and technique with your subject matter and exploring alternative and contemporary approaches to drawing. Students can bring in objects of their choice to draw, aligning with the focus of each class.
