Join us to explore the diverse flavors and aromas of premium coffees from around the world. Led by two experienced baristas, the class will cover:
- the origins of coffee
- how and where it is currently grown
- the importance of sustainability to the future of the industry
Participants will calibrate their pallets for sensory evaluation with a tasting of an array of nuts, chocolates, citrus fruits, and berries while discussing their differences in flavors. Different roasting levels and brewing techniques will also be discussed.
Students will also learn the basics of cupping:
- how to detect and evaluate the different aromas and complex scents that define each coffee's unique profile, whether it is fruity, nutty, or floral
- how to identify a coffee’s different notes.
Whether you're a coffee enthusiast or a curious beginner, this class will enhance your understanding and appreciation of coffee. Participants will go home with a bag of coffee to enjoy at home.
