Join us for a Bronxville Adult School Pickleball Tournament. Here's everything you need to know so you can show up ready to play.
The Format: This is a 3-hour event designed so that every team plays as much as possible, no matter your record. The tournament has two phases:
Phase 1 — Round Robin (first ~70 minutes). Depending on the number of teams, we may have up to 3 round robin pools. Within your pool, every team plays every other team once. Matches are timed (10 minutes each), so all courts start and finish together. When your pool has a round where you're not scheduled, grab some refreshments; that's your built-in break!
Scoring: Wins earn 3 points, but every team earns 1 point just for playing, so every match counts right up to the end.
Phase 2 — Championship Bracket (final 40 minutes) After the round robin, teams are seeded and, depending on the number of teams, may be split into a Gold Bracket (top teams) and Silver Bracket (bottom teams). Both brackets run simultaneously, meaning every team competes for a championship title. We crown both a Gold Champion and a Silver Champion, so there are two sets of winners!
Each player on the winning teams will receive $200 towards any BAS class(es). Valid for Sept 2026-June 2027.
A few things to know:
- When you register for this event, you will be registering for two people (your team). After registration, we will reach out to you to get your partner's contact information as well as your team name. Feel free to be creative!
- No team will sit out for more than one round during the round robin
- Light refreshments will be available during sit-out rounds and the mid-tournament break
- Bring your competitive spirit and your sportsmanship!
- When you arrive, you will receive your pool assignment and schedule. Warm-up time will be limited, so arrive a few minutes early if you can.
