This interactive workshop combines meditation, journaling, goal affirmation, and art-making into one experience. You’ll develop a personal affirmation that aligns with your goals and bring it to life through a custom-designed affirmation card. By exploring the Life Path Color connected to your birthday, you’ll discover how color can influence your intentions and motivation. You will then use cardstock and a variety of media to create at least one (and, time permitting, more) affirmation card(s) to inspire focus, confidence, and a deeper connection to their aspirations. It’s about the journey and the process.

Spring plants bring colorful inspiration for “Nature Journaling in Line and Wash.” As buds burst into petals and leaves unfurl, so, too, do the pollinators arrive in style. Bugs and bees team up with butterflies to feast and carry pollen from flower to flower. This fun and relaxing class will record what you may have observed on your own spring walks, focusing on the amazing connection between insects and plants. Using a fine liner pen, we will learn mark-making techniques enhanced with beautiful transparent watercolor. We will learn simple ways to draw pollinators and pests. Prepared templates will be offered to create pleasing compositions across the two pages of your journal. All skill levels are welcome.

Explore the expressive techniques of Impressionist and Post-Impressionist masters like Cézanne and Van Gogh in this dynamic and engaging drawing class. Using charcoal and pencil, artists of all levels—whether beginner or experienced—will develop and refine their fundamental drawing skills in a fun and supportive environment.

Inspired by the Japanese method of metal forge modeling, this class will adapt similar techniques to transform polymer clay into a mokume gane design. Students will learn the step-by-step approach and then create jewelry pieces and/or a trinket bowl out of the clay designs. Finished pieces will be baked and sealed before class ends.

Paperback book folding is the perfect craft for recycled decor. We will use this method to make a vintage-style birdcage out of used books. Embellish your finished birdcage with cutout birds, flowers, ink stain, ribbon, and more. You'll leave with a beautiful decorative piece that everyone will be talking about.

Beaded beads are woven with a needle and thread using a combination of Swarovski crystal, pearls, Czech glass, and seed beads. Choose a palette and create a unique pendant necklace. Some beading experience is helpful.

Explore the ancient technique of broom-making. Fiber artist and educator Poliana Danila will guide you through this craft of working with natural materials to create a useful and beautiful hand broom. Using natural and black-dyed sorghum, you'll make a 16-inch broom that can be used as a sweeper and/or displayed as an art piece on your wall or mantle. 

This open studio session is for artists of all levels who wish to practice figure drawing with a live, fully clothed model. Using glass-specific paints, each student will customize a pair of 12 oz. wine glasses …perfect to give away as a gift or to keep and enjoy. There will be design instructions including:

• Amalfi lemons with stems
• Floral tutorials: tulips, roses, lilacs, daisies
• Chevron “Missoni” style lines
• Bubbles and dots
• Hearts
• So much more!

The glasses are hand-washable.

On a large 16x20 in. gallery-wrapped canvas, we will be exploring a drip art technique using an array of acrylic paints, including neons, metallics, and glitter. Recreating the trending “drippy heart,” you are sure to go home with a masterpiece worthy of a living room wall.

In this workshop, you will create a dynamic scene step by step—starting with a loose sketch from reference photos, followed by pen and ink for structure. Then, you'll bring your scene to life with watercolor, refine it by adding tonal values, and finish with expressive ink details and textures.

Momigami is a Japanese paper technique that involves kneading paper to create a soft, fabric-like texture. Momigami paper is durable, flexible, and can be used in many ways. In this class, we will use this technique to create colorful, unique covers and glue them on notebooks to make beautiful, personalized journals. This meditative and recycled art practice will help you wind down from your hectic day.
