3D printers are everywhere, in schools, libraries, and even in people's homes. It is easy to download a model and send it to the printer, but the real creativity comes from learning how to design your own objects. This two-session workshop will explore 3D printers, how they work, and a free web-based 3D design program called TinkerCAD. Using this simple but powerful program, you will learn how to design a 3D object, and we'll print it for you to keep.
Please note: you must bring your own laptop to attend this workshop. A 3-button mouse is recommended but not required. Your object will be printed after the second session, and you may pick it up within the next week.
