    This 6-session evening course offers adults a hands-on, project-based introduction to sewing by machine, with a focus on sustainability, creativity, and mindful making. No experience is necessary, and all materials are provided, including natural fabrics (cotton, linen), fabric scraps, and upcycled textiles. Students will build skills progressively to complete a Denim Tote by the end of the course. Whether you're new to sewing or returning to the craft, this course offers a relaxed and rewarding way to build your skills, one stitch at a time! For both beginners and returning students.

    • Felt Pouch – machine intro + confidence booster (Week 1)
    • Coin Pouch – introduces woven fabric, interfacing, and buttonholes (Weeks 2–3)

    This zip code Pillow Sewing Class is a fun, creative six-week course where students learn how to make a custom pillow featuring appliqué numbers and a zippered closure. This class is suitable for beginners, and students do not need to have completed any previous sewing classes to join.

    Designed to be welcoming and confidence-building, this class teaches essential sewing machine skills alongside techniques that many beginners are excited to learn, including inserting zippers, basic appliqué, and constructing a pillow cover. Instruction is step by step, with plenty of guidance and practice built into each session.

    Using natural fabrics and sustainable materials, students will first practice zipper skills on a small project before moving on to the zip code pillow itself. By the end of the course, each student will have a finished, personalized pillow and the confidence to tackle similar projects at home.     In this two-session workshop, participants will design and carve a double-sided wood block, one side for bold color shapes, the other for fine details. Students will develop their own imagery, transfer designs, prepare and carve the block, and explore color layering through printing.     Crocheted granny squares have been around a long time for a reason. They are fun, versatile, and require only basic stitches to provide a wealth of color options and uses for the home and personal adornment. From earrings to slippers, tote bags to cushions, you can do it with a granny! This class will guide you through the process of making granny squares to serve as a basis for any fun project. Please note, students should already have basic crochet experience.
