This class will use this technique to ease stress while making a beautiful abstract work of art. Students begin with random, spontaneous lines and incorporate circles into their design, later rounding off intersections and adding color with a choice of media. In the mid-1960s, the British Invasion marked a cultural phenomenon that became a defining moment in the evolution of modern music and youth identity. This movement saw a wave of British rock and pop bands, most notably The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who, and The Kinks, captivate American audiences and reshape the global musical landscape. Rooted in American blues, R&B, and rock and roll, these artists blended their influences with homegrown styles like skiffle and Merseybeat to create a fresh, electrifying sound. The British Invasion not only revolutionized American music but also left a lasting imprint on fashion, attitudes, and the rising counterculture of the era. Explore the music, cultural shifts, and iconic figures that defined this transatlantic wave and consider its deeper impact and enduring legacy in popular culture.

Scent is the sense most strongly connected to memory, with the power to calm the nervous system, shift mood, and bring us back to ourselves in an instant. Plants, too, support our regulation and well-being in ways we often overlook. Join Ella to explore the foundations of horticultural therapy and deepen your connection to the natural world through scent, touch, and creative practice.
We’ll begin the class by awakening our senses through playful scent explorations, guessing herbs, passing around fresh plants to touch and smell, and noticing how each aroma makes us feel. Participants will learn how to harvest and dry lavender at home, following the process from the plant to the dried botanicals we’ll be working with.
Together, we’ll craft personalized aromatherapy jars filled with dried lavender and colorful flowers to take home or gift. Using leaves and small nature treasures, we’ll also create handmade rubbings on tags/cards for each jar, a simple, heartfelt “to and from” keepsake inspired by the world around us. No prior experience with aromatherapy or crafting is required. We’ll close by enjoying a special homemade treat.
Leave feeling grounded, refreshed, and carrying the scent of lavender with you long after the day ends.

Ready to make music, share a laugh (or several), and strum your way to happiness? This beginner-friendly ukulele class is designed especially for adults looking to try something new, have fun, and perhaps even unleash their inner rock star — or at least a very enthusiastic campfire singer. Over six laid-back weeks, you’ll learn to strum, play basic chords, keep a steady rhythm, and sing songs that speak to you. The only prerequisites: a fun-loving spirit and a song you can physically sing (yes, that one you belt out in the shower counts). Bring one song idea to class, and we’ll take care of the rest. This class is structured for beginners and will go at a relaxed pace with plenty of musical “aha!” moments and good-natured laughs along the way. Come as you are, leave with a smile, and maybe even a few new friends. Warning: Spontaneous humming and toe-tapping may occur. Ukuleles will be provided for class use.

THIS CLASS IS FULL. Please click the "Add to Waitlist" button below. As we age, all of us fall into habits of using our bodies in ways that they were not intended for. Over time, muscles become overstretched in some places and under-stretched in others, pulling our bones out of alignment and resulting in pain. In this slow yoga class, the focus will be on using targeted yoga postures (not all yoga postures are helpful) to rebalance muscle groups and encourage realignment for the prevention and reduction of pain... so maybe we won't have to pop a Tylenol to get through the day! In addition, this class includes instruction in mindfulness practice and stress reduction--important elements of every yoga session.
We are offering Rebalance and Realign with Slow Yoga this fall, Thursays, starting 9/24, at 9:15 am.

Tap into the music and find your flow! In this course, you will learn shuffling and cutting shapes steps (e.g., running man, t-step, scissors, happy feet, etc.) in the context of groove and upper body flow. When you groove, you’re not just learning the steps, but locking into the rhythm and really feeling the beat. Upper body flow can be as simple as using your arms to mirror what your legs are doing and as complex as sending waves through your fingers—get ready to explore it all! Demonstrations will be lower impact than typical shuffling, but you can go as high impact as you want. This class is for everyone, whether you have shuffle experience or not. Expect a physical and mental challenge, an incredible workout, and a safe space for creative expression. Modifications can be made as needed.

Where walking meets strength, balance, and well-being!
FitWalk is a unique, outdoor fitness class that combines brisk walking with light strength training to boost energy, build muscle, and improve balance—all in the fresh air of nature. Using light hand weights (2–5 lbs, based on your fitness level), you’ll move through functional strength intervals designed to support better bones, joint health, and a strong core. Each session hits all the major muscle groups and includes training for stability, coordination, and posture. No two classes are exactly the same, but every FitWalk focuses on total-body wellness, community, and motivation. Along the way, you'll also build mindfulness and mental clarity, helping you feel stronger inside and out. All levels are welcome.
We are offering FitWalk to Wellness this fall starting Friday, 10/2, at 10:30 am.
